World Premiere Wines, WPW, based in Mooresville North Carolina, was founded by Debbie Altomare and Elaine Garber with the mission of brining unique wines from around the world to the US market. Currently, WPW, imports wines from South Africa, France and Spain. With South African Wines being the central focus of the portfolio.

Although wine has been made in South Africa’s Western Cape since 1659, re-introducing previously sanctioned wines in the States was more akin to marketing a newly discovered region.
Over the years, my diverse portfolio has evolved to reflect many of the prominent growing regions of the Western Cape.

As we expand our portfolio into other wine regions we keep an eye out for unique wines of high quality and value. Each estate or winery represented is selected based on discerning criteria:

• An identifiable sense of style true to the region, and more specifically, to their vineyard locations
• The wine profile is agreeable to the American consumer’s diverse palate while still being true to its terroir and origin
• The owner is the winemaker or intrinsically involved in the winemaking process
• Superb quality and great value throughout the price Spectrum
• Wineries that are environmentally conscious as well as focused on uplifting the standards of their workers

All the wineries have received national recognition through publications including: The Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, International Wine Cellar, Wine & Spirits, Sommelier Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
